Dried apples

Time: 7 hours

Setting food dryer:

  • Temperature: 65° C

Ingredients

  • Apples
  • Lemon juice
  • Cinnamon to taste (optional)

Preparation

 

  1. Wash the apples and remove the core with an apple corer.
  2. Cut the apples into equally thick, wafer-thin slices, ideally with a mandoline.
  3. Sprinkle the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown.
  4. If you’re a fan of cinnamon, add some cinnamon to the slices.
  5. Then layer the apple slices on the dehydrator’s grill rack, making sure they don’t overlap.
